AJi, as the lead partner in a joint venture with Liban Consult (LC), has been officially awarded the contract for the "Supervision of the Design and Construction Works for the Upgrading of Al Ekaider Waste Disposal Site." Awarded by the Ministry of Local Administration and funded by the European Union through AFD, this nationally significant project will transform Jordan’s second-largest landfill into a fully compliant sanitary facility.

The scope includes rehabilitating Zibar ponds, constructing new lined sanitary cells, and establishing a dedicated leachate treatment plant, with the JV supervising works executed by Mesogeos and Masar United. Following a groundbreaking ceremony on 16 November 2025 attended by the Minister of Local Administration and the French and EU Ambassadors, the project stands as a major step toward Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision and the advancement of sustainable waste management.
