The project involves the engineering and architectural services for the detailed design, tender documentation, and optional supervision of the fit-out works of duty-free retail areas at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah.

The scope covers approximately 6,000 sqm of commercial space plus 830 sqm of walkways in Terminal 1, and around 1,510 sqm in the North Terminal.

AJi was tasked with delivering full MEP (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety, data/IT, security, and AV systems), structural engineering (canopies, hanging and lighting elements), and architectural interior design services.

The works included validation of as-built drawings, detailed design, tender preparation, coordination with international designers, approvals from authorities, and optional site supervision.

The duty-free retail program will accommodate perfume & cosmetics (including a beauty lounge), fashion & accessories, premium boutiques, tobacco (with smokers’ lounge), confectionery, electronics, toys, regional products, and experience spaces, all executed to high international standards and in compliance with Saudi regulations.
