The Jeddah Airport-2 Independent Sewage Treatment Plant is strategically located in north Jeddah, within the King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) complex, with direct access from Al Harameen Expressway.

The site lies within a designated zone approved for sewage treatment infrastructure, supporting long-term operational continuity and regulatory compliance. The project comprises the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of a new sewage treatment asset with an initial Phase 1 treatment capacity of 300,000 m³/day.

From an assets and operations perspective, the focus is on ensuring reliable process performance, lifecycle efficiency, and regulatory compliance from day one.

The plant is designed to meet standard treated sewage effluent (TSE) quality requirements, with enhanced Nitrogen and Phosphorus removal to accommodate potential sea discharge, while remaining fully aligned with the wider national water reuse program.

Operational readiness, asset stability, and performance verification are integral to the plant’s transition from construction to sustained operations.
