The Saudi Ministry of Education undertook a major effort to address the challenges in providing high-quality building services for the education sector in the Kingdom, between 2015-2020. The Ministry was planning to build 3,200 new schools, including complex schools, large schools, small schools, kindergartens, and special schools, with a further 2,500 existing schools in need of refurbishment and upgrade. The Ministry assigned Tatweer Buildings Company as its interface with the private sector to oversee nearly all aspects of the building, planning, design, contract management, project delivery, facilities management strategy, and facilities maintenance. Tatweer Buildings Company then assigned AJi to provide technical support staff for their western region office, to act as a technical support team for daily operations.
