This hospital is a competition-winning design with 350-bed, commissioned and completed in 1999, it houses a comprehensive mix of medical and surgical departments including trauma and orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, cardiac surgery, intensive therapy and coronary care unit, 8 operating theatres, diagnostic X-ray and scanning, outpatient clinics, maternity nursing unit, delivery suite, medical and surgical inpatient wards, rehabilitation centre, pharmacy and support facilities.

The project is a multistory laboratory building that is designed according to GLP international regulations and it serves as the accident and emergency centre for the city of Abu Dhabi.
