The road project aims to establish a crucial 14.775 km connection between Amman and Ajloun, improving regional connectivity and transportation efficiency in northern Jordan. The route begins at the Qafqafa intersection on the Amman-Irbid Road and ends at the Ibbin intersection.
Key objectives include enhancing direct travel between Amman, Irbid, and Ajloun while bypassing Jarash City, promoting tourism and economic growth, improving access to agricultural areas, and reducing traffic congestion.
The project also includes economic analysis, considering benefits such as reduced transport costs, calculated through Economic Internal Rates of Return (EIRRs) and Net Present Value (NPV).
The design minimizes property encroachment, avoids congested areas, and incorporates at-grade intersections with existing roads. The road will navigate undulating terrain, with sections involving significant excavation and filling.
