The Karbala Teaching Hospital was envisioned to bridge the gap between the old and new for Karbala and to provide capacity for delivering tertiary medical services. The project was also built to create space for student training within a clinical environment and specialist centre. A high-rise hospital, the Karbala Teaching Hospital consists of 13 floors, in addition to an adjacent research centre.
