The design for the Salman Bay Area with a total area of 1,184,255 m2 included an estimated 30 kilometres of roads with parking areas, surface drainage, and 30 kilometres of wet utility networks, such as potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and irrigation networks. The project was divided into two phases:
