Located on the eastern shores of the Dead Sea, at the lowest point on earth, lies the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton (KHBTCC). The KHBTCC launched in 2005 to host the World Economic Forum for the first time in Jordan. The three-story centre can host over 4,000 guests and has 27 conference halls, lounges, foyers and several outdoor terraces. The challenge was that the contractor was appointed at the same time as the consultant and the designs were developed based on interior design visualisations. Furthermore, there was a fast track 6-month delivery process, in order to host the World Economic Forum as planned and as directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II.
