AJi provided engineering services to study and prepare detailed design and tender documents for the construction of a transmission pipeline, located near King Hussein Airport in Aqaba, to carry seawater from the Northern Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea to the Sahara. Once the planned project was completed, the pipeline would carry sufficient capacity to meet the current and future demands of the Sahara projects, with water treatment and desalination using an SWRO process, and solar power generated by the Sahara project.
